JTL agency for international brands
JTL is the dominant E-Commerce platform in Germany. We help international brands set up JTL-Shop and JTL-Wawi correctly, integrate German marketplaces and operate the system day-to-day — so you don't need German-speaking staff for your German-market operations.

Understanding JTL: Wawi vs. Shop
JTL is really two products working together. JTL-Wawi is the warehouse and order management system — the operational core that tracks stock, orders, shipping, invoicing and (via plugin) accounting exports. JTL-Shop is the storefront that customers see, connected directly to JTL-Wawi so inventory and pricing stay in sync without manual updates. Many merchants run JTL-Wawi even without JTL-Shop, using it purely as back-office software behind a different storefront or a marketplace-only business.
A third piece, JTL-eazyAuction, handles marketplace listing and order sync for Amazon, eBay, OTTO and Kaufland. Together, the three cover what a mid-sized retailer would otherwise stitch together from several separate tools.
Why JTL is the DACH default
JTL became the standard for a specific reason: German mid-market retailers need warehouse management, multi-marketplace selling and DATEV-compatible accounting exports in one system, on infrastructure they control. Cloud platforms built for the US or UK market rarely ship with German shipping carrier integrations, VAT handling or DATEV export out of the box — JTL does, because it was built around those requirements from the start. That is also why it can feel unfamiliar to international teams: the assumptions baked into the software are German-market assumptions. We exist to translate that gap, both literally and operationally.
Frequently asked questions
What is JTL and why does it matter for the German market?
JTL is the leading E-Commerce ERP in the German-speaking region. JTL-Wawi (warehouse management) handles inventory, orders, fulfillment and accounting. JTL-Shop is the integrated webshop. For mid-sized German E-Commerce, JTL is often the dominant choice — comparable to NetSuite or Brightpearl in scope.
Should we use JTL or Shopify for the German market?
Shopify works well for early-stage and DTC brands. JTL is stronger for mid-sized merchants with complex fulfillment, multi-channel selling (Amazon, eBay, OTTO, Kaufland) and German tax/accounting (DATEV) integration. We help you choose based on your specific situation.
What does JTL setup cost?
JTL-Wawi base edition is free. Premium editions (Advanced/Pro) start at €119-369/month from April 2026. JTL-Shop hosting is separate. Our setup services typically range from €3,000-8,000 depending on complexity (number of products, marketplaces, custom workflows).
Can JTL be operated in English?
JTL-Wawi is German-only. JTL-Shop frontend can be in any language, but the admin interface is German. We handle the JTL-Wawi side for you — you communicate with us in English, we operate JTL on your behalf.
Is JTL open source or a SaaS product?
Neither, strictly. JTL-Wawi is proprietary software you (or we, on your behalf) install and run on your own server or a hosted instance — not a multi-tenant SaaS like Shopify. That gives you direct database access and full control over your data, at the cost of needing someone to operate it.
Considering JTL?
We can help you decide if JTL is right for your business — and if yes, get you up and running without the typical German-language barrier.
